8.0 Protection of Officers

8.1 FIDELITY BONDS

The Executive may require such officers, employees and agents of the Guild, as they may deem advisable, to furnish bonds for the faithful discharge of their duties, in such form and with such surety as the Executive may from time to time prescribe.

8.2 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

No member of the Executive or officer of the Guild shall be liable for:

a. acts, receipts, neglects or defaults or any other Executive or employee,
b. joining in any receipt or other act for conformity,
c. any loss, damage or expense happening to the Guild through the insufficiency or deficiency of title to any property acquired by order of the Executive for or on behalf of the Guild,
d. the insufficiency or deficiency of any security in or upon which any of the monies of the Guild shall be invested,
e. any loss or damage arising from bankruptcy, insolvency, or tortuous act of the person with whom any of the monies, securities or effects of the Guild shall be deposited,
f. any loss occasioned by any error of judgment or oversight on his part,
g. any other loss, damage or misfortune whatever, which shall lhappen in the execution of the duties of his office or in relation thereto, unless the same shall happen through his own wilful neglect or default.

8.3 INDEMNITY

Every Executive member, committee chairman and committee member of the Guild and his heirs, executors and administrators and estate and effects respectively, shall from time to time and at all times, be indemnified and saved harmless out of the funds of the Guild, from or against

a. all costs, charges and expense whatsoever, that such Executive member sustains or incurs in or about any acition, suit, or proceeding that brought , commenced or prosecuted against him, for or in respect of any deed, matter, or thing, whatsoever made, done, or permitted by him, or about the execution of the duties of his office, and
b. all other costs, charges, or expenses relating to the affairs of the Guild,
c. except such costs, charges or expenses as are occasioned by his own wilful neglect or defaut.
